Traders in Nyanjye sector in Ngororero district have resorted to branding their shops with names, photos and prices.
This intended to improve their businesses and good customer care.
In addition, it makes it easier for customers to buy since price lists are hanged outside the house at the entrance.
Fixing the prices like it’s done in supermarkets has helped stabilize prices because some traders could increase them anyhow.
The executive secretary of Nyanjye sector, Esdras Mupenzi asserts that traders decided on this strategy to avoid disorganization in their business and to know the number of traders operating in this area.
Mupenzi highlights that this system has improved customer care and increased on the revenue the sector collects from traders.
However, some traders who did not embrace the idea of listing the prices at the shop entrances get no customers, reveals Collette Nyiramugwera, one of the traders.
The executive secretary advises business communities in other sectors of Ngororero district to use the same system for improved businesses.
