Members of the Youth Forum in Rutsiro district intend to work together with the objective of achieving self reliance and to help each pother get to development starting with the poor among themselves.
This is one of the goals set by the youth during a general assembly on Wednesday the 11th.July 2013 during the evaluation of their achievements in the last financial year 2012/2013 and presentation of new goals for the new economic year.

Pascal Nzasabimana the coordinator of the youth in the district said some of the goals that the youth had vowed to realize the last economic year were realized. These include forming youth cooperatives at least one in every cell, supporting 485 youth with livestock, getting youth cooperatives with financial support of about Rwf5.5 million among others.
The youth coordinator in the district said they trained 50 cooperatives about project management, taught 24 people tailoring and 24 others were taught computer lessons. In the last economic year 2012/2013, they sought financial support to 12 Anti AIDS Clubs and also taught youth the ways of development.
In the 2013/2014 economic year goals, the youth intend to strengthen the youth cooperatives in cells, to support each other by giving much consideration to the poor, and train more youth in technical skills.
The youth wish to have amendments in the budget allocated to them by the district to make more development projects. Jacqueline Nyirabagurinzira the vice mayor for social affairs in the district says the district is willing to support the youth in what they are doing as long as the youth are corroborative.
