Referee Louis Hakizimana
EIGHTEEN referees among them two Rwandans have been named in the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (Cecafa) list of officials set to handle the upcoming regional tournament.
Referee Louis Hakizimana and assistant referee Honore Simba will be in action during this year’s senior Challenge Cup matches in Kenya.
The list released by the Secretary General Nicholas Musonye comprises of nine referees and nine assistants, all of whom are expected to travel to Nairobi ahead of the kickoff.
The named referees will then be taken through to fitness and medical tests on their arrival in Nairobi after which the tournament will officially kickoff.
This year’s tournament will kick off on 27th November and run for a fortnight until 8th December across various yet to be decided venues.
Various stadiums including one each in Mombasa and Machakos are expected to host the event which will bring together different countries from the East and Central African region including guest teams.

Rwanda duo picked for Cecafa Cup
